Restaurant at the end of St Kilda Pier

It’s only now that I have a few weeks left in Melbourne that I start hurrying around and taking some of the “classic” shots like this one of St Kilda Pier. I suppose when you live somewhere, it always feels like you have all the time in the world to see that place when the reality is, the tourists have probably seen more of “home” than you have!

Anyway, this photo was taken on a cloudy night in St Kilda and it’s the first time I’ve tried to achieve the “light steaks” that Trey Ratcliff uses in his photos sometimes. It isn’t quite as obvious, but I’m still learning how to make them. I may post up a video tutorial on it at some point.

(Here’s Trey’s photo that I was trying to emulate from – go check it out!)
